Supernumerary Ministry Opportunity - Goldfields Circuit 604

A ministry opportunity exists for a Supernumerary minister to take up the pastoral leadership of a multi-cultural Methodist Society in Virginia in the Free State Goldfields. The Virginia Methodist Church has been served for the past year by Rev. Philip Mvunyiswa, who is leaving at the end of 2009. The financial position of the Society does not allow us to invite an ordained minister or station a probationer there, but the Society is strong enough to offer:

•  Accommodation;
•  Lights and Water;
•  Telephone;
•  A Living and Travelling Allowance of R10 000 per month.

 The Society is an English Medium congregation which has grown to be a distinctly multi-cultural ministry. We believe in the future of the Society and are looking for a supernumerary minister with passion and energy to help to build the Society up to a point where they can once again invite an ordained minister of their own to serve them.
