COMMISSIONS- CONFERENCE 2011
PLEASE NOTE: There will be no accommodation available for CE members before the 19th September and for Conference delegates before the 21st September. There will also be no accommodation available after check-out on Sunday morning.
CONFERENCE FORMAT
Conference will follow more or less the following format:
§ Thursday - will be devoted to plenary presentations;
§ Friday - will be spent in Commissions which will consider and respond to matters referred to Conference;
§ Saturday – The Resolutions Committee will present resolutions and recommendations from the Commissions for formal adoption by Conference.
The five Commissions are:
Commission 1: Women, Men, Youth, Vulnerable groups and Children
Commission 2: Property, Administration and Finance
Commission 3: Mission and Ministry
Commission 4: Public issues, Advocacy and Communication
Commission 5: Policy and Doctrine
Please state your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice on the attached preference list. The Conference preparation team will try to balance the Commissions so you may not necessarily be allocated to the group of your first or second choice.
Conference material together with Commissions’ agenda items will be sent to you during the first week of September. Please take time to study the material so that you come fully prepared.

The Conference theme for this year is: An Invitation to the Round Table
NOTICES OF MOTION
Please be reminded that the 2005 Conference (2006 Yearbook, page 72) resolved that with effect from the next Conference in 2007, Notices of Motion should be in the hands of the Executive Secretary no less than four weeks before the opening of Conference and that only Notices of Motion will only be accepted from the floor of Conference if they relate to issues that have arisen subsequently or arise directly from the business of Conference. This also applies to memorials to conference.
