Northern Freestate and Lesotho – “The covenant blood speaks better”
By Lerato Makole
The Northern Free State and Lesotho District's 39th Annual Synod was held from the 20th to the 22nd of May 2010, in Kroonstad.
The Synod was opened with a warm and passionate theme: THE COVENANT BLOOD SPEAKS BETTER (Hebrew 12: 18-29), delivered by Bishop Andrew Motsoenyane.
The Synod then proceeded its sessions and also sat in its different commissions, divided into 3 regions whereby they discussed the work of God and resolutions that were before the Synod to give directions to it.
They also engaged on the DEWCOM survey.
The NFS&L District is also preparing for the Methodist Church of Southern Africa's Conference, which will be held in our district in 2011.
On the closing day of the Synod, Rev Boitumelo Mosala was endorsed by the Synod delegates to be ordained at Conference in September this year.
The Synod and all its proceedings were undeniably aligned to the Bishop's opening theme, in a sense that it went to instill and emphasise that the blood of Jesus Christ does indeed speak growth, development, equality, success and unity for this fast-growing district.
