About our society

Our church is named Aldersgate after John Wesley’s heart-warming experience of Christ at a meeting in Aldersgate Street, London.  For us the name has become a shortcut for the recognition that all Christians need to involve every part of their beings, head, heart and hands in their faith.  As we focus on worship, we automatically find we grow and care, because love for God overflows into love for others and caring. We not only celebrate in our logo that Jesus is with us always, but that worship overflows into work and witness, so we have to take up the responsibility to “go and make disciples”.  Our church is a friendly suburban community.

Our Sunday worship services include an 8am traditional service, followed by a 9.30am beginning with family worship after which the children go to their own classes.  There is also a 2.30pm vernacular service and a 6.30 pm informal evening Disciples Digging Deeper designed for teens and others to first meet together for worship before splitting into two groups for in-depth discussion. The numerous activities of the church are in the attached information leaflet.  These include children and youth activities and other social outreach ministries.  All are welcome.
